Uzoma is a climate tech entrepreneur and the driving force behind Releaf Earth, a startup pioneering carbon removal and agricultural solutions in Africa. With a foundation in food processing technology, Uzoma has led Releaf Earth’s transition to producing premium biochar from palm kernel shells, a breakthrough solution for carbon sequestration and sustainable agriculture. Releaf Earth’s mission is to empower African farmers with tools for increased productivity and resilience against climate change, which disproportionately impacts rural communities.
Backed by top investors, including Y Combinator and Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Uzoma is committed to leveraging innovation for economic development and environmental impact. A Duke University Mechanical Engineering graduate, he also served on Duke’s Board of Trustees, providing strategic insights as a young leader.
