A graduate of NYU's MFA program and a former Head of Producing at EbonyLife Creative Academy, Abbesi has guided over 60 Nigerian film students in producing and career strategy. With extensive experience in developing feature films, series, and shorts, her work emphasizes nuanced portrayals of black and African peoples and cultural identity. She is also a Berlinale Talent, supported by organizations like Black Rock, Chanel, and the Princess Grace Foundation.
